Weeks after a resolution was issued on 16 July 2019 with the objective to carry out the action plan for the cleaning and tidying of the streets, avenues and districts in the city of Bata, the Prime Minister, Head of Administration Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, met with authorities from the capital of the Continental Region and most of the presidents of neighbourhood associations in the city on 26 August to evaluate the work carried out up to date.
Obama Asue stressed the importance of keeping a clean environment, as the lack of hygiene increases the risk of suffering illnesses and their dissemination.
The meeting was favourable for inviting the attendees to mobilise, to leave their offices and involve themselves in the solution of the problems concerning the care and maintenance of their respective action areas on a communal level, as well as higher levels. To do so, he pointed out the need to increase communication among superiors and subordinates to be able to lessen the shortages or deficiencies that may be found.
