Obama Asue receives Resident Representative of Population Fund

On Tuesday 5th February, in his office at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Government, the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, met the Resident Representative of the United Nations Population Fund and Resident Interim Coordinator of the United Nations System, Mady Biaye.

The aim of the audience between Obama Asue and Mady Biaye was for the Resident Representative of the United Nations Population Fund and Resident Interim Coordinator of the United Nations System to report to the Prime Minister on the programme and joint agenda of activities for 2019, between the Government of Equatorial Guinea, the United Nations System, and the United nations Population Fund.

The courtesy audience, the first of the year between Obama Asue and Biaye, also served to review the relations of cooperation that our country maintains with the United nations Agencies present in Equatorial Guinea.

At the same time, the United Nations Population Fund plans to carry out in our country the second demographic health survey. In declarations to the press after the audience, Mady Biaye declared that 2019 would be a key year, not only for the United Nations System, which is seeing a number of reforms in its organisation, but also for Equatorial Guinea, due to the Third National Economic Conference, which is to be held in the near future.

At the audience, the Prime Minister was accompanied by the Adviser to the Presidency of the Government, Charged with Legal Affairs, Pedro Ondo Ngua.
