PDGE militants and sympathisers from Kogo also joined the event to launch the electoral campaign for the legislative, senatorial and municipal elections 2017. A mass petitioning for favours at the Virgin of Carmen Church, a popular procession, and a political rally, were the events which market the start of the campaign.
The launch began with a singing of the PDGE anthem on the esplanade of the market, and the subsequent presentation of the members, led by Bernardo Nze, together with the reinsertion of a family within the ranks of this political grouping.
After a reading of the message sent by the President Founder of the PDGE, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, to the militancy in Kogo, and the presentation of the political programme, the most moving moment arrives, with the presentation of the Permanent Member of the National Executive Board and PDGE Co-founder.
The Prime Minister, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, addressed the commissioners for the campaign, candidates and the militancy in general, and pointed out in his speech in his mother tongue and in Spanish the main principles on which the philosophy of the PDGE has been based since it was founded.
Furthermore, Obama Asue invited the inhabitants of Kogo to vote for the PDGE as the best alternative for the sustainable development of the country.
