The President of the Republic of South Africa, H. E. Jacob Zuma, officially opened the Indaba Africa Energy 2017 Conference, organised by the Department of Energy. The two-day meeting is being held at the Gallagher Conventions Centre in the city of Midrand, under the banner of “The energy sector stimulating economic growth, social development, and the creation of employment in South Africa, and the African continent in general”.
Indaba Africa Energy is showing itself to be a forum which promotes the progress of projects and opportunities for industrial production, and boosts the continuous economic growth of Africa. At the conference there are debates on reactivation measures and challenges, in order to provide solutions in the supply of energy.
We have to work together in order that our economy works well and develops, in order to build a better, sustainable future. We also have to balance all the sources of energy production, and not give one privileges over another, because they all have the same relevance”, stated the South African President.
The meeting is attended by over 700 representatives from various counties. Equatorial Guinea is participating with a senior delegation from the diplomatic mission, led by the accredited Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador from the South African city of Pretoria, Francisco Edu Ngua Mangue.
