Opening of course on airport security in Equatorial Guinea

Organised by the Union of Airport Managers in Central and East Africa (UGAACO), the Seminar on Airport Security has begun in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. It will be attended by technicians from the African aeronautical sector. The course was opened by the Director General of the Aeronautical Authority, Justino Bayeme Ela, representing the head of the ministerial department, Leandro Mico Angue.

The UGAACO is organising for the first time a seminar workshop for organisations operating at airports in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

The aim of the seminar, which will be attended by delegates from ASECNA and representatives from the various managers of airports in Central and East Africa, is to instruct the participants on the regulations for the eradication of clandestine entry to the runways, and the prevention of possible incidents during flight operations.

The director Bayeme Ela, in addition to welcoming those taking the course, and underlining the importance of the workshop, also pointed out that this first course will go a long way to raising awareness among airport managers in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, the ADGE and the ASECNA, among other bodies.
