The ceremony was carried out in Bata, with the Chairmanship of the Head of State, who has reiterated the need for the justice personnel to be involved in the change of mentality and in the education of the population, for the knowledge of the legal provisions.
The opening ceremony of the new Judicial Year 2015 was carried out in the Ngolo Conference Center on January 15, and once again it had the presence of the President of the Nation, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who addressed the professionals of the justice system in a speech marked with reflections on the need to continue progressing in the development of the legal system.
The Head of State, as the First Magistrate of the Nation and President of the High Court of Judicial Power, began by congratulating the jurisdictional personnel for the difficult task that they carry out in judging and making the judgment be enforced. “The rigidity of the judicial authorities while carrying out their attributions will contribute in a great measure to the development of our Country,” highlighted the President of the Republic, who also pointed out the importance of working for a change in mentality and promoting the legal culture. “We must get involved in the education of the people in order to widen their knowledge on the legal provisions,” he also said.
By holding the ceremony two days before the start of the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2015), and as he had done with other State institutions, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo also invited the men of laws to get involved in the championship in order to solemnize and enjoy the great continental football celebration.
