PDGE bids final farewell to Sister Militant Antonia Mbang Ndong

The National Office of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea was the main setting for the wake for Antonia Mbang Ndong Okomo, who passed away on 14th May at the La Paz medical centre in Sipopo. Various figures from the governing party were present at the mortuary chapel.

Various members of the PDGE executive board, such as the Vice-President, Constancia Mangue de Obiang, and members of the National Council and officials from the National Office, led by the General Secretary, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, among other militants, friends and acquaintances, attended the funeral ceremony.

Mbang Ndong was an active, important figure in the PDGE, and held other positions of high merit at a Government level, standing out as a member of the National Council and the AAisok Monitoring Commission, in addition to the post of first substitute in the current senatorial legislature.

On 16th May the wake was held, and on the 17th the posthumous honours began in the presence of the Equatoguinean presidential couple, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and Constancia Mangue.

After laying wreaths and messages of condolence, a requiem mass was held at the National Office, and the burial took place at the Ela Nguema cemetery.
