The General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE), Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, met the Plenipotentiary Ambassador from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Daniel Cartaya Laya, and the new Adviser from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.
At the meeting with the Venezuelan ambassador, the two spoke about the current political situation in Venezuela and the recent Constituent Assembly elections. The General Secretary described in positive terms the bilateral relations with the South American country, and congratulated them in the name of the President Founder of the PDGE, Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, for the Constituent Assembly result “which has allowed the restoration of power to the Venezuelan people”, and highlighted the success of the Bolivarian Revolution, “all thanks to the inspiration and spirit of the commander Hugo Chavez Frias”.
Cartaya Laya also congratulated the General Secretary for the success of the VI PDGE Ordinary National Congress.
At the end of the meeting, Jeronimo Osa Osa gave the ambassador a message of thanks for the participation of a Venezuelan delegation at the congress.
At the meeting with the new Adviser from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, he also passed on his congratulations for the congress, “at which important resolutions were passed for the economic, social and cultural development of Equatorial Guinea”. Furthermore, he praised the achievements of the recent visit by the Vice-President of the Republic, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue.
The adviser issued Osa Osa with an invitation from the Communist Party of China (CPC) to once again visit the Asian country, accompanied by 35-member delegation.
For his part, the General Secretary spoke of the excellent relations between PDGE and the CPC, and praised the support that the Chinese Government gave to Equatoguinean students living there.
