PDGE General Secretary meets delegation from Presidents of Monitoring Commissions SAPound o Tome and Principe

On 22nd May, the General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, accompanied by the Deputy General Secretary, Jesusa Obono Engono Nchama, received in audience an official delegation from the Government of SAPound o Tome and Principe, led by the ministers for Foreign Relations, and Public, Works, Infrastructures, Natural Resources and Energy.

During the meeting, the Minister for Foreign Relations, Elsa Pinto, and the Minister for Public Works, Osvaldo Cravid Abreu, who are also Vice-Presidents of the governing party, the SAPound o Tome and Principe Liberation Movement (MLSTP), passed on to the chief of the PDGE National Office the message of friendship and brotherhood sent by the President of his political grouping, Jorge Bom Jesus, to the President Founder of the PDGE, Brother Militant Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. The message came in recognition of the excellent relations maintained by both the governments of the two countries and the PDGE and MLSTP, a party that has its founding roots in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea; relations that the delegation from SAPound o Tome and Principe wishes to strengthen and extend for the benefit of the two parties and their respective countries.

The delegation also reported on the invitation extended to the Equatoguinean Head of State to attend the commemoration of the Centenary of the Theory of Relativity, formulated by the German scientist Albert Einstein, at an event that will take place on 29th May on the island of Principe.

For his part, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro coincided with his opposite numbers in highlighting the excellent state of relations, between both the governments of Equatorial Guinea and SAPound o Tome and Principe., and between their respective governing parties, and along those lines he expressed the willingness of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea to strengthen and extend these relations with the MLSTP through the exchange of experiences and delegations, as this interaction would benefit the members of both parties. The meeting concluded with an exchange of gifts.
