PDGE General Secretary receives ambassadors from Cuba and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

The General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE), Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, accompanied by his deputy, Jesusa Obono Engono, received on 2nd September at the party headquarters the Ambassadors from Cuba and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Rodobaldo Isasi Herrera and Ton Chol Ho, respectively.

The first audience was with the Cuban diplomat, with whom he exchanged impressions on the international situation. The Ambassador also issued invitations to the secretary for an official visit to Cuba. They also looked at the possibility of attending a meeting in Abuja (Nigeria), with respect to African solidarity with Cuba. On cooperation between Cuba and Equatorial Guinea, the Ambassador said that it had always been good, there is a notable presence of Cuban collaborators in various sectors in Equatorial Guinea”.

During the audience with the Ambassador from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Ton Chol Ho, the two spoke about matters related to the framework of relations of cooperation between the Workers’ Party of Korea and the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE), above all in the exchange of visits by delegations from the two parties.

In conversation with the press, following his meeting with the PDGE General Secretary, the North Korean diplomat highlighted the fact that relations between the two parties were excellent, and they had analysed how to develop relations between the two parties.

Another of the topics of conversation was on the economic and political situation in the two countries, and matters of peace and security on the Korean peninsula.
