The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Agapito Mba Mokuy, received on Monday, April 6, the delegation from the Commission of the African Union (AU) which is in Malabo with the aim of drawing up a working plan for the organization of the African Summit on the Fight against Ebola, to be held soon in Equatorial Guinea.
During the past Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union held in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) last January, the decision was adopted to hold a special summit to analyze the fight against Ebola that will take place in Equatorial Guinea.
In view of this event, on Tuesday, April 7, a first preparatory meeting was held between the Government and the Commission of the AU in charge of this matter, with the primary objective of defining the date of the event and also the details of its organization.
The conference will bring together high-level leaders including Heads of State and of Government, Ministers, senior officials, etc. All of them are committed to the fight to help the countries affected by Ebola in their recovering and reconstruction efforts.
