On Monday 9th July, the Minister for Work, Minister for Work, Employment Promotion and Social Security, Celestino Bonifacio Bakale Ndong, and the Director of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Vera Lucia Paquete Perdigao, held a presentation meeting for the experts sent by the ILO to support the Government of Equatorial Guinea with the reform of laws, regulations and other employment issues.
This programme has been discussed for over a year; for that reason, the ILO wished to deepen and validate this work in situ in order to support the Government of Equatorial Guinea.
Some of the aspects examined were the empowerment of youth and women, decent employment, support for cooperative companies, and the promotion of self-employment, among others.
The meeting ended with a debate among the experts from both sides to continue with the work of research and validation.
