The Republic of Equatorial Guinea Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, Francisco Edu Ngue Mangue, visited the Arcadia Primary School in Pretoria. Taking advantage of the occasion, with this being his first visit to the school, he made a donation of books to the pupils.
Of the wide variety of instruments invented by man to date, the most astonishing is the book. A book is power, value, food and, of course, it is the torch of thought and a spring of love”, said Francisco Edu Ngua, in his reflections during the presentation of books to the pupils at the school.
During the start of the presentation of books, Edu Nguea Mangue told them the history of our country, pointing out that Equatorial Guinea is a beautiful country located on the central east coast of the African continent. The first book he presented is a book on the history of the President of our country, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, written by Mukanda Mabonso Mulemfo, a writer and consultant for children’s literature of South African nationality.
As the future generation of our continent, you have to know the history of Africa and its leaders, because these books have been written for you, the children of Africa”, said Edu Ngua Mangue, at one of the moments during the presentation.
After expressing gratitude fro their hospitality, the good reception and attention paid by the pupils, Edu Ngue Mangue said goodbye, stating that he hoped to return soon, and signed the visitors’ book for Arcadia Primary School, which has been operating since 1903.
