On 30th May, the Adviser from the Ministry for Work and Social Security, Malela Idjabe Ingadi, oversaw a working meeting between director generals from the Ministry for Work, the United Nations, some ministerial departments and other institutions, to officially present before experts the draft International Labour Organisation Technical Assistance Project to the Government of Equatorial Guinea, with regards to the promotion of decent work in the 2019-2023 period, within the framework of cooperation with the United Nations System.
The work took place in the meeting room at the Ministry for Work, where the expert Claude Nvolo and specialists in ILO programmes presented the project, which covered five points; the context, the matter of the Logical Framework for 2019 to 2023, the development of human capital, economic development and governance.
Regarding the ILO contribution, he mentioned the implementation of the United Nations Assistance Framework, sustainable, inclusive economic development which generates decent employment, and governance of the employment framework.
The document also contains various strategic priorities such as improving the quality of life for the population of Equatorial Guinea, and finally highlights some results for 2023, providing protection and opportunities, among other aspects, through an improvement in the lives of Equatoguineans.
