Various ministerial departments and libraries in the capital will soon have this compendium which marks a before and after in the history of Equatorial Guinea; a memoir which covers a series of periods with basic information and short summaries about our country.
The initiative was promoted by the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, at an Interministerial Council meeting which took place in the City of Peace, Djibloho. Today it is available for distribution to the various ministries, institutions and libraries in our city.
The current “Memoir of 50 Years of Independence in Equatorial Guinea” is divided into four parts: basic information on the Republic of Equatorial Guinea; short historical summaries of the Spanish colonisation from 1470 to 12th October 1968; the first period of independence, from 12th October 1968 to 3rd August 1979, and the second period, from 3rd August 1979 to 2018.
