On 20th August at the People’s Palace in Malabo, the celebration took place to mark the Military Holiday, at an event overseen by H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, as Commander in Chief of the National Armed Forces. Military chiefs and leaders of the three military forces (Land, Sea and Air) attended the event, in addition to the Vice-President of the Republic, Charged with National Defence and State Security, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, Generals, Officers and other members of the nation’s military institutions.
The Minister for National Defence, Leandro Bakale Ncogo, and for State Security, Nicolas Obama Nchama, presented reports on the current political and geo-strategical situation regarding the defence and security of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, congratulated ministers for the exhaustive reports, and highlighted the measures taken in each sector, so that Equatorial Guinea can continue to be a benchmark for peace and security on a global and continental Africa level.
