President Attends Patron Saint’s Day Mass in Akoakam Esangui

The Equatorial Guinean presidential couple visited the Continental Region for the framework of preparations for the VIII Forum of the Friends of Obiang Movement. On 25th July, the presidential couple travelled to Akoakam Esangui, located in the District of Mongomo, to rally around the parishioners of the place where President S.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo was born.

Diocesan Bishop of Mongomo, MonseAor Juan Domingo Beka Esono, officiated the Eucharistic celebration of the Patron Saint’s Day in Akoakam Esangui, located in the District of Mongomo on Wednesday, 25th July.

The Equatorial Guinean presidential couple, who have been visiting the Continental Region since Tuesday for the framework of preparations for the VIII Forum of the Friends of Obiang Movement, travelled to this small village to rally around the parishioners where President S.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo was born.

In presence of local, national and provincial authorities, in addition to guests from other parts of the nation, Bishop Mongomo said that celebrating the Saint James the Apostle party shows us how to follow and serve Christ. In another passage of the homily, he stressed that Saint James the Apostle invites everyone to put their lives at the service of others and to live in faith.
