The Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Republic of Mali, Tiema Hubert Coulibaly, paid an official visit to our country sent by Head of State, S.E. Ibrahim Boubakar Keita.
On Friday, 20th July, the Malinese Head of Diplomacy was received by the Equatorial Guinean president, S.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, at the Palais du Peuple, in a meeting that included the Equatorial Guinean Foreign Affairs Minister, Simeon Oyono Esono, and the Government Ambassador of Bamako accredited in our nation, Amadou Dem.
Both interlocutors discussed the political concern of the continent during the meeting.
As regards the bilateral plan, S.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and Tiema Culibali discussed the need to compose a mixed commission responsible for making decisions on the economic cooperation project.
The Head of State took advantage of the moment to send his counterpart a message of peace for the reconciliation of the Malinese nation.
-I am a messenger for the President of Mali with a message for his brother and friend of Equatorial Guinea, and the message I have brought is the concern of continental politics – a concern relating to security and economic development. You know that the presidents at the level of the African Union recently decided to launch the continental economic area. Nowadays, specific and positive actions have to be implemented in order for the economic area to be an effective weapon for economic development. Therefore, with the Equatorial Guinean president, we have addressed the possibility of materialising the decision of the Head of State meeting on this economic process for the economic integration of our countries, expressed the Malinese delegate sent to our country.
