On 22nd May, at the People’s Palace in Malabo, the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, received in his office the presidents of the two chambers making up the National Parliament, Teresa Efua Asangono and Gaudencio Mohaba Mesu.
Taking into account that the closing of the first ordinary period of Parliamentary sessions this year is imminent, the Head of State held a meeting with the presidents of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, Teresa Efua Asangono and Gaudencio Mohaba Mesu, respectively.
The aim of the meeting was to present H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo a report on work carried out during this first period of sessions, and the actions planned for implementation during the eighth legislature.
Apart from the pointers given by the Head of State to continue strengthening the correct functioning of the institutions, the President also congratulated them on the effective work of the bicameral Parliament.
