The Equatorial Guinea delegation which is on an official visit to the Republic of Chad, led by the Minister for Regional Integration, Baltasar Engonga Edjo, was received by the President, Idriss Deby Itno, the Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic, Charged with Foreign Policy and Treaties, Pastor Micha Ondo Bile, and the Adviser from the Embassy in Chad, Gaspar Nguere Micha.
The aim of the visit was to deliver a message sent by the President, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, to his counterpart in Chad, H. E. Idriss Deby Itno.
During the audience, the conversations focussed on matters affecting the two States, such as the recent terrorist attack on 24th December. Both President Idriss Deby Itno and the minister Baltasar Engonga Edjo affirmed that they were people who were attempting to destabilise countries and prevent their development.
Furthermore, the President of Chad highlighted the support and solidarity of his Government on receiving news of the failed terrorist attack, once we received the news, we sent a delegation to Equatorial Guinea to express our support and solidarity with the people and Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. The Government of Chad is also willing to seek out all those responsible for this terrible action through police investigations which are now in progress in the two countries”.
