On Friday 8th June, the President of the Bioko Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Forestry, Gregorio Boho Camo, attended the opening ceremony for the new shopping centre CABA Markt in the Timbale Neighbourhood, close to the Maria Cano educational centre.
When cutting the ceremonial ribbon, Boho Camo thanked the company for its initiative which has contributed to the development of the country, and also congratulated the residents in the area for now being able to access products without going to the centre of the city.
The distance of inhabitants from shopping centres was the fact that led to the construction of the shopping centre. Furthermore, the director of the company, Victor King, explained that they had been encouraged by customers who motivated the company to create a shopping centre with a restaurant, and he also affirmed that they had an ambitious project for the entire nation.
We wish to extend our supermarkets throughout the nation, in all cities in the country. We want to be represented in our shopping centres. Although it has not been easy, we have managed to overcome the difficulties faced during the development of the project”, said Victor King.
The first thing we took into account before staring the project were our prices. We are going through a period of low activity and we have adjusted the prices of products despite the cost of the transport of goods, customs paperwork and the maintenance of the centre. For that reason, the prices are affordable, and our customers also have access to a box for complaints and suggestions. Our aim is to improve our services for customers”, said Victor King, with respect to commercial policy.
