President of Guinea Bissau visits Equatorial Guinea

The President of Guinea Bissau, H.E. Jose Mario Vaz and Maria Luisa Vaz, were received at Mongomeyen international airport by H. E. Obiang Nguema Mangue and Constancia Mangue de Obiang, on 6th December.

The President of the Senate, Teresa Efua Asangono, led the group of national, provincial, district and municipal authorities, while some members of the Government and other figures welcomed the visiting delegation.

The State and National Defence security corps provided the corresponding honours.

In the presidential terminal the two leaders exchanged first impressions regarding this official visit.

In Mongomo, the first stop was the main town hall, where the President of Guinea Bissau received the keys to the city and the town hall crest.

The mayor, Jose Eneme Ovono, read the speech welcoming the delegation to the municipality, and the visiting leader replied by expressing gratitude for Mongomo hospitality.

The General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, also attended the ceremonies that took place in the provincial capital of Wele Nzas, on the eve of the celebration of the anniversary of the Cathedral Basilica and the feast of the Immaculate Conception.
