President of Republic concludes stay in Mongomo

The President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, ended his stay in Mongomo on 9th December, after overseeing and attending several official events.

First thing on the morning of 9th December, the President said farewell to his Central African counterpart, H. E. Faustin Archange Touadera, who has been on an official visit to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, specifically to Mongomo, the provincial capital of Wele Nzas.

Moments later, the provincial, district and municipal authorities gathered to bid farewell to the leader of the nation and the First Lady.

Once in Malabo, the presidential couple were received by the heads of the ministries of Defence and National Security, Alejandro Bacale Ncogo and Nicolas Obama Nchama, respectively, in addition to various government authorities.

The President of the Republic and Constancia Mangue de Obiang have returned to Malabo, after having spent over a week in Mongomo, where they received their counterparts from Guinea Bissau and Central African Republic.

They also attended the celebration of the anniversary of the Mongomo Basilica and the feast of the Immaculate Conception, the patron of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, on 8th December, at a solemn thanksgiving mass, said by the Holy See Apostolic Nuncio for Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon, together with various bishops and priests.
