President of Senate receives FAO Representative

On 22nd October, the President of the Senate, Teresa Efua Asangono, granted an audience to the new FAO Representative in Equatorial Guinea, Fatima Espinal.

The audience with the new Representative of the United Nations Fund for Food and Agriculture, FAO, Fatima Espinal, who was accompanied by the assistant from this international body in our country, Maria Rosa Mba, took place minutes before the presentation of credentials before the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono Angue.

This was the first courtesy meeting between the two, which in addition to serving as an opportunity to boost and strengthen relations between the Senate and the FAO, also allowed Efua Asangono and Fatima Espinal to offer their mutual willingness to cooperate closely in order to respond to the needs of the Equatoguinean population.
