President of the Senate holds audience with German Ambassador

Accompanied by the First Vice-President of the Senate, A�ngel Serafin Seriche, the President of the Upper Chamber, Teresa Efua Asangono, granted an audience to the accredited Ambassador from the Federal Republic of Germany in Malabo, Elmar Jacobs, with whom she spoke of the need to set out relations of parliamentary cooperation which would begin with the creation of friendship groups in order to reinforce and strengthen the ties of cooperation.

The two covered questions relating to the upcoming visit by a delegation from the German Parliament, made up of six parliamentarians, to Equatorial Guinea,taking into account the accumulated experience that characterises the German Parliament, and considering that the Senate in Equatorial Guinea is a new creation, the two expressed hope that the Upper Chamber in Equatorial Guinea could learn from this”.

After the meeting, which was his first visit to the new headquarters of the Senate, Elmar Jacobs signed the chamber’s visitors’ book.
