President of Venezuela sends New Year greetings to Equatoguinean Head of State

H. E. Nicolas Maduro Moros, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, has sent a message of New Year’s greetings to his Equatoguinean counterpart, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the contents of which we are publishing in full.

Nicolas Maduro Moros

President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

Your Excellency Mr. Teodoro Obiang Nguema,

President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea

Your Excellency,

I would like to wish you in my name, that of my family, and the people of Venezuela, my wishes for peace and prosperity for the New Year, to your loved ones and the brother people of Equatorial Guinea.

This time of taking stock and planing provides a special opportunity to express our sincere and deep feelings of union and commitment, which strengthen the alliance between our nations and the friendship between our peoples.

Particularly, this time is ideal to recognise and welcome the gestures of respect for sovereignty, self-determination, democracy and peace in Venezuela during the difficult year of 2017.

For that reason, we declare our desire to continue to back the relations of cooperation and solidarity between the two countries, and the projects aimed at integrated development and mutual benefit, within the framework of the consolidation of a multi-polar world, in order to achieve a balance in the universe that was pointed out by the Liberator Simon Bolivar, and through the incessant struggle of our Eternal Commander, Hugo Chavez.

We hope that 2018 will bring progress and loyalty for You and for your people, in the conviction that our spirit of union and brotherhood will continue to lead us towards the construction of a world in harmony, and respect between nations with Justice and Peace.
