The final activity for the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, on 12th October, was to grant three courtesy audiences in the People’s Palace in Malabo, following the reception provided for guests attending the celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of Independence.
The first meeting, held in the Ambassadors’ Hall, was with Naser Bourita, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation from Morocco, who bore an message sent by His Majesty Mohamed VI to the Equatoguinean President, to mark the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of obtaining National Sovereignty.
Minutes later, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo received Maikel Bogdanov, the representative of the President of Russia, H. E. Vladimir Putin.
To conclude, the Equatoguinean Head of State spoke to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs from Spain, Fernando Valenzuela, who bore messages from His Majesty, King Felipe VI and the President of the Spanish Government, H. E. Pedro Sanchez, sent to the President of the Republic.
The contents of these messages focussed on congratulations to the people of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and its Government on the 50th Anniversary of Independence, and references to the strengthening of the excellent bilateral relations uniting us with these States.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono, was present during these acts of courtesy.
