President speaks before Cape Verde National Assembly

The President of the Cape Verde National Assembly received on 16th April the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, as part of the work programmed for his 72-hour stay in Praia, the capital of Cape Verde.

The session, described as extraordinary, began with the speech by Jorge Pedro Mauricio Dos Santos, leader of the national Assembly, followed by a speech from the President, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

The two figures also exchanged various gifts, and then the President signed the visitors’ book. The act was also attended by the representative of the CPLP Parliament, Djombe Djangani.

The final sequence of this meeting occurred in the chamber, where parliamentary sessions take place. There, the two parties covered the need to create parliamentary friendship groups between Malabo and Praia, and the signing of various framework of cooperation agreements in various sectors.
