President travels to Niger

The Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, travelled to Niamey, capital of Niger, on 6th July, to attend the Thirty-fifth Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State of the African Union, which is taking place from 4th to 8th of this month.

In the presidential terminal of Malabo International Airport, the head of State was seen off by ministers from the department for National Security.

During this African Union extraordinary assembly, they are due to cover matters of common interest for the benefit of member States of the organisation, such as the launch of the creation of the free trade area on the African continent, and the matter of Refugees, returnees and the Internally Displaced, seeking lasting solutions for those forcibly displaced in Africa, which is being led by our President, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
