President visits Republic of Mozambique Assembly

On Thursday 6th April, the second day of the State visit by the Equatoguinean delegation to Maputo, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo began his work schedule in the Plaza of the Heroes in the city, to pay homage to combatants who gave their lives for the nation’s independence.

Following this tribute, he began visits to places of economic and political interest. The President went to the city’s port, and was received by Port Authorities, who explained the operations of this economic institution to the Head of State, which is currently undergoing building work.

Hours later, the president of the Assembly in the Republic, Veronica Natanael, received the Equatoguinean Head of State at the headquarters of the institution, where the festive mood greeting H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo was of note.

The president of this legislative body explained to her honoured guest the functions of the institution, made up of 250 deputies elected every 5 years. The two exchanged gifts to mark the hospitality characterising the two peoples.
