Presidential couple visit district of Nsok Nsomo

Saturday 2nd March saw the latest stop on the State tour in the province of Kie Ntem, in the district of Nsok Nsomo, where the presidential couple were received with joy by those present. The authorities congratulated the Head of State for the huge achievements in the country in connection with the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Independence and the VI Table for National Dialogue. The presidential couple were also congratulated on their golden wedding.

The Permanent Honorary Mayoress of the district of Nsok Nsomo, Constancia Mangue de Obiang, publicly condemned the failed coup attempt on 24th December 2017.

Equally, the district of Nsok Nsomo expressed its gratitude to the First Lady for the moral, economic and financial support provided for the most vulnerable layers of society in Equatorial Guinea, and presented the presidential couple with traditional Bantu objects.

“Peace is not exactly the absence of war”, stressed the president of the Republic, while calling for peaceful coexistence between Equatoguineans.

The Head of State concluded his speech by condemning the cultivation of illegal substances, and advocated the promotion of agriculture in order to boost the self-sufficiency of Equatorial Guinea.
