On 19th February, applause and performances by traditional dancers met the arrival in the capital of the District of Baney of the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and Constancia Mangue de Obiang, accompanied by members of the Government, advisers to the Presidency of the Republic, the PDGE General Secretaries, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro and Jesusa Obono Engono, among others, on the continuation of the tour which began on 15th February in the city of Pale.
The Governor of Bioko Norte, Leon Elo Ondo, led the court of honour at the reception ceremony. Minutes later, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo met the people on the esplanade of the Conference Hall. The welcoming speech by the mayor, JesA�s Raso Kuku, was followed by speeches by the president of the PDGE Monitoring Commission, and the Government Delegate, Silverio Nsue Mba.
The speakers condemned any act aimed at undermining the stability of the nation,The path is made by walking, and Baney will always walk with Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, and they reiterated their commitment to continue along the lines drawn by the Head of State, because he guarantees national unity, peace, and the socio-economic development of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
I am happy to be here with you, I wish to thank you for the turnout, for this great reception, which shows the esteem, love, and appreciation you have for the Government of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea”, said H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, at the start of his reflections aimed at spreading and preserving peace in the nation.
The President expressed his desire that the new year 2019 would bring good omens; a year in which everyone must work to change the physical and mental structures in order that the development of the nation is progressively strengthened.
Equatorial Guinea is a peaceful country, and for that reason we have to cultivate peace and preserve the current environment, and live in harmony in order to continue to live happily”,he added.
To conclude his reflections, he recommended that the young people in Baney contributed to promoting the development of their area, while the Government was working on public projects.
The tour will continue on 20th with inaugurations of the new urban districts of Basakato de la Sagrada Familia, Bososo, Bariobe, and the Baney District Hospital, and the laying of the first stones on new social projects.
