Presidential decree calling elections to the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate, and town halls on 12th November

The President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, has issued a decree calling the general elections for the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate, and Municipalities, for 12th November.

The decree dissolves the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate and municipal corporations, and calls elections for the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate, and municipal corporations.

The decree issues this call in accordance with Article 41, sections M and P, Article 60 of Equatorial Guinea Basic Law, and Article 46 of Law number 8 from 2015, of 28th May, regulating elections to the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate, and Municipalities, which grants the President of the Republic the Prerogative to dissolve the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate and the town halls throughout national territory, calling fresh general elections for the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate and the town halls within the terms of the abovementioned Article 46, in sections 1, 2 and 3, respectively.

Its 3rd article states that: General elections are called for the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate and the town halls, which will take place on 12th November 2017″.
