Press Conference at Ministry for Mines and Hydrocarbons

Regarding the upcoming conferences to be held by the Ministry for Mines and Hydrocarbons, in collaboration with NAHSCO, the chief Minister at the department, Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima, gave a press conference, to report to all the entrepreneurs and guests present in the meeting room of the Ministry for Hydrocarbons on the Oil and Gas Meeting Day Conference, which will be held on 1st and 2nd October, and the V Summit Forum of Gas Exporting Countries in November.

The press conference began with four blocks of speeches; the first was by the General Coordinator for Energy Year, Soledad Edjang Masoko, who revealed the report from the conferences held following the launch of Energy year on 29th August 2018 to date; activities in which the goals and objectives have been achieved.

The President of NAHSCO, JesA�s Maria Mvumba Mbomio, followed with a speech, and presented the format of the Oil and gas Meeting Day Conference, to be held on 1st and 2nd October in the Conference Hall in Sipopo. he indicated that it is sponsored by the Ministry for Mines, within its energy programme, organised by the Platform of National Companies from the Oil Sector (NAHSCO).

Furthermore, he affirmed that this company is a platform which, today, has brought together 132 national companies and has assumed the responsibility of organising the event, considering that it could be a moment which marks a before and after in the reality of the private national sector. He also mentioned the participation of foreign companies, estimating a total of 300 participants, and there were currently 220 delegates enrolled. In addition, JesA�s Maria Nvumba underlined the fact that Equatorial Guinea headed the list, with a total of 200 delegates.

Moreover, the representative from Africa Oil & Power, Blanca Fernandez, passed on information regarding the V Summit of the forum of gas Exporting Countries, which will take place in the month of November, and explained the full programme of the event.

The Minister for Mines and Hydrocarbons, Gabriel Obiang Lima, began by congratulating the collaborators, and also mentioned the two events which are still to be organised within energy year. Oil And Gas Meeting Day will take place next week at the same time as the main event of the year, the Summit of Heads of State of Gas Exporting Countries, affirming that on successfully concluding energy year, 2020 will be called investment year, for which there will be a programme to be revealed next week and during the conference regarding future investment.

In his speech, the minister spoke about NAHSCO, congratulating the President of the organisation on preparations for this Conference, among other things, regarding petroleum activities and the successes achieved, inviting everyone to take part in the conference.
