The Minister for Information, Press and Radio, and Government Spokesperson, Eugenio Nze Obiang, gave a press conference to report on the Interministerial Council meeting held on 6th February.
The council session was overseen by the Prime Minister of the Government, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, and was also attended by the three Vice Prime Ministers of the Government, ministers of State, deputy ministers, vice-ministers and secretaries of State.
One of the matters covered related to the Draft Law on Government, presented by the Department of Legal Affairs, presented by the Second Vice Prime Minister, A�ngel Mesie Mibuy.
The Draft Law on the Organisation and Operation of the General State Administration, was another of the matters looked at, which was also presented by the Department of Legal Affairs.
Another draft project presented was on the Judicial Regime and Common Administrative Procedures, and the draft decree on the opening of the agricultural campaign 2018-2019, presented by the head of the Ministry for Agriculture, setting the minimum price for traditional crops, such as cocoa, coffee and coconut.
The Ministry for foreign Affairs issued a report on human trafficking, through the Secretary of State, Charged with Heritage, Maria A�ngeles Miaga. Equatorial Guinea supports international conventions and protocols on the social scourge of trafficking. To that end, the Minister for Information recalled the meetings held recently by the Prime Minister throughout the nation in order to raise awareness among local authorities regarding this issue.
