Prime Minister asks entrepreneurs to support sport

On the morning of Wednesday 2nd October at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Government in Malabo II a meeting took place between the Prime Minister of the Government Charged with Administrative Coordination Francisco Pascual Obama Asue and entrepreneurs and representatives from banking institutions operating on the island of Bioko.

Obama Asue had previously met the majority of entrepreneurs from the continental part of the country with the same aim of requesting their voluntary contribution and cooperation for the promotion of elite sports specifically football through voluntary contributions to a “elite football promotion fund” which would be used to support the national teams competing in international competitions.

During the meeting which was also attended by the Deputy Minister for Trade and the Promotion of Small and Medium sized Companies Alberto Doria Lajay and the president of the Equatoguinean Football Federation (FEGUIFUT) Gustavo Ndong Edu those present made various proposals to implement the project which will be agreed on and reported to the Government
