First thing on Friday 10th August, a delegation led by Ahmad Ahmad, President of the African Football Confederation (CAF) arrived in the city of Malabo, and was received by the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue. This is the first visit to our country following victory in the elections in March 2017 by the Camaroonian, Issa Hayatou.
Taking into account that Equatorial Guinea has hosted since 3rd August the matches of the sub-17 from the Union of Central Africa Football Federations (UNIFFAC), in preparation for the African Cup of Nations sub-17 in Tanzania in 2019, Ahmad Ahmad wished to see progress first hand.
The president of the CAF, as a sign of cordiality, offered the flag of the confederation to the coordinator of Administration in Equatorial Guinea, in the presence of the Vice-Minister for Education, University Teaching and Sports, Maria JesA�s Nkara Owono, and the President of the Equatorial Guinea Football Federation (FEGUIFUT), Gustavo Ndong.
The CAF President was accompanied by other figures, such as the CAF Vice-President, Constans Omari Selemani, and the UNIFFAC President, Patrice Edouard Ngaissona.
