On the afternoon of Tuesday 2nd July, at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Government in Malabo II, the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, met members of the Government to analyse matters of concern on an social level.
During the meeting, Obama Asue and members of the executive analysed the worrying situation observed in various cities throughout the nation, with regards to a huge increase in exposure and exhibitionism, from both heterosexuals and homosexuals, prostitution and sexual promiscuity.
Faced with this compelling situation, the Government, with the aim of raising awareness and protecting the population, intends to adopt a package of measures to pursue and limit this behaviour, whether from nationals or expatriates, by adopting specific sanctioning measures for all those engaging in the practice, in order to reduce these activities.
The Government measures will be chiefly focussed on the protection of minors, in addition to the protection of the traditional Equatoguinean family as the basis of society, and the public image of the country.
At this single-topic meeting, the Prime Minister was accompanied by the Second Vice Prime Minister, Charged with Parliamentary Relations and Judicial Affairs, Angel Mesie Mibuy, and the Third Vice Prime Minister, Charged with Human Rights, Alfonso Nsue Mokuy.
