The Prime Minister is continuing with his round of visits to make contact with officials from the Central State Administration. On Monday 12th March, it was the turn of officials from public administration who provide services in the city of Bata.
The Prime Minister of the Government, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, went to the Conference Hall in Ngolo, where he had arranged a meeting with the officials, and began with a short presentation on the history of the Equatorial Guinea administration to 2018.
Obama Asue recalled the conduct expected of a public servant by the population, as the main beneficiary of the service provided. Along the same lines, he condemned the actions of those officials who leave their posts to dedicate time to personal affairs, and those who take part in acts of corruption.
Respect for the working timetable was one of the areas that the Prime Minister focussed on, and he invited officials to act in accordance with the laws governing both the country and the public administration.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Public Administration and Administrative Reform, Faustino Ndong Esono Eyang, in addition to local, district and provincial authorities.
Minutes after the meeting, the Prime Minister, accompanied by the Minister for Public Works, Housing and Town Planning, Diosdado Nsue Madja, visited the neighbourhoods of Ngolo, Florida and Ntobo, due to the heavy rain that has fallen in recent days. Obama Asue instructed the department for Public Works to seek solutions as soon as possible.
