Prime Minister meets Egyptian Ambassador

On 7th March, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, received in audience the new accredited Egyptian Ambassador to our country, Hattem Hassouba, in the presence of the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Missions, Bonifacio Mitogo Edjang.

With the aim of strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation between Equatorial Guinea and the Arab Republic of Egypt, Obama Asue received in audience the Ambassador from this North African country.

It was a courtesy meeting, the first to be held between the two figures since the Egyptian diplomat was appointed ambassador from his country on Equatoguinean soil.

The Governments of Equatorial Guinea and the Arab Republic of Egypt intend to begin a second phase of cooperation in the areas of agriculture, livestock, fishing, forests, and in the health sector, according to Hattem Hassouba.

For his part, the Prime Minister guaranteed full support for this initiative, and affirmed that technicians from the sectors mentioned will work closely with Egyptian companies.

The two congratulated each other on their respective responsibilities.
