The President of the Central African States Development Bank (BDEAC), Fortunato Ofa Mbo Nchama, was received by the Prime Minister of Gabon, Julien Nkoghe Bekale, on Monday 22nd July, for a working session.
During the audience, they dealt with various matters regarding cooperation between BDEAC and the State of Gabon, in particular related to the various financing deals from the Community Institution for the benefit of the people of Gabon. The bank, through its President, is always willing to support the policy of diversification of the economy of Gabon, and has identified various projects, valued at hundreds of thousands of millions of Franco CFA, and it is probable that they will receive funds in the near future.
Fortunato Ofa Mbo Nchama indicated that participation by the institution he leads in the financing of these projects will be in line with the advice given by Gabonese authorities in order to continue to be compatible with the priorities of the country.
Thus, Mbo Nchama affirmed that, “in order to allow the perfect maintenance of this cooperation, a Resident Representation has been established in Gabon”. This was also supported by the Gabonese Government, encouraged to continue this impetus which fits perfectly with the concerns of the Heads of State in the subregion.
