Prime Minister oversees session of Organising Committee for III National Economic Conference

On Thursday 24th January, the Prime Minister, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, oversaw a meeting of the Organising Committee for III National Economic Conference at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Government.

The aim of the meeting was to check on the level of progress and compliance with the issues covered in previous meetings, and to move on to an analysis of other matters regarding the celebration of the Economic Conference through which the economy of the country is to be strengthened.

The Secretary of State, Charged with the General Treasury, Milagrosa Obono Angue, reviewed the minutes from the previous session, and the agenda for the meeting, which was attended by the Vice Prime Ministers of the Government, Clemente Engonga Nguema Onguene and Alfonso Nsue Mokuy, in addition to the ministers who make up the conference committees.

During the meeting, experts from economy and finance presented details for analysis, and suggestions on doubts that could arise.

Cesar Augusto Mba Abogo, Secretary of State, Charged with the Equatorial Guinea Horizonte 2020 National Agency, in his declarations to the press after the meeting, expressed satisfaction with the progress of the work done by the committee since 12th June 2018. Furthermore, he underlined that, thanks to the success of the conference, the preparatory phase of which is coming to an end, the economy in Equatorial Guinea will be able to achieve diversification within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals set out in United Nations Agenda 2030.
