Prime Minister represents Head of State in New York in vote for UN Security Council

Following participation in the 5th Platform for the Reduction of Risks and Disasters in the Mexican city of Cancun, the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, arrived on the afternoon of 28th May in New York, where he is to officially represent the President of the Republic in the vote for the United Nations Security Council for the 2018-2019 period, which will take place on 2nd June. The Republic of Equatorial Guinea is a candidate for non-permanent member of this body.

Francisco Pascual Obama Asue was received by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Salomon Nfa Ndong, who took part in the latest activities in new York, in our country’s campaign for the position of non-permanent member of the United nations Security Council, a very significant milestone for Equatorial Guinea, taking into account that our country promotes peace and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.

Our country’s Ambassador Permanent Representative before the UN, Anatolio Ndong Mba, his deputy, Victoriana Mbasogo Mangue, and the Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to the United States, Miguel Ntutumu Evuna Andeme, were also present at the warm welcome that our country’s permanent mission provided for the Prime Minister.
