The Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, has returned from Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, where he had been to attend in the name of and representing the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, at the Invest in Africa Forum FIA 2019.
Bearing a message sent by H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo to his Congolese counterpart, the contents of which were not revealed, the Prime Minister was received in audience by the President, H. E. Denis Sassou Ngueso.
At the fifth edition of this annual forum, the debates revolved around the slogan: Take advantage of cooperation to promote economic diversification and the creation of jobs in African Economies”.
The FIA came about as an international platform to promote multilateral cooperation and investment opportunities in Africa, and brings together at each edition a significant number of representatives from the public and private sectors in China and Africa. With respect to cooperation between China and African countries, in an interview granted to the Congolese media, the Prime Minister indicated that it would take place within a framework of respect.
Throughout his stay in Brazzaville, Obama Asue was accompanied by the accredited Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to the Republic of Congo, Samuel Ateba Owono, together with the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Bonifacio Mitogo Edjang and the Secretary of State Charged with Budgets and Financial Control, Nicolas Fernando Okiri, who formed part of the delegation that went to the Congolese capital.
At the time of leaving Brazzaville, the Congolese Minister for Culture, Moyongo Dieudonne, was there to bid farewell to the Equatoguinean Prime Minister.
