At the district headquarters of the party on Malabo, the General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, accompanied by his deputy, Jesusa Obono Engono, received 33 of the 43 candidates aspiring to the post of National Coordinator of the Sons of Obiang Association (ASHO).
This was the first meeting that the General Secretary of the PDGE, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, has held with those aspiring to the post of ASHO National Coordinator, following confirmation of the list of 43 candidates, both in the insular region and the continental part of the country.
The General Secretary, in the name of the Honorary President of SHO, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, began by thanking and praising the decision of the candidates for their commitment and interest in the association.
You have demonstrated interest in standing for this significant post in a dynamic group, the hope for future PDGE politicians, although you are not all going to be chosen for the position of coordinator, but the simple wish to take part in the elections shows your commitment to the cause of the association, and to the President Founder of this association and, of course, to the cause of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea and its President Founder, Obiang Nguema Mbasogo”.
Before explaining the election process, Osa Osa Ecoro went over the list of candidates, and underlined that, before the next PDGE congress, ASHO must have its structure in place. The candidates will be evaluated, and must be in possession of knowledge regarding the operations of the association. They will also work on the ground, in order to update the census of members, both in Malabo and Bata.
