The peripheral administration from around the nation also took part in the grand popular and military parade on 12th October, to mark the 50th Anniversary of our country’s Independence.
With banners congratulating the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and the people of Equatorial Guinea, the province of Bioko Norte was led by the Governor and the delegations from the Malabo and Baney Government, made up also of their town halls, people’s councils and neighbourhood communities.
The province of Bioko Sur was also led by its Governor and Government delegations from Luba and Riabe and, in the same way, with the participation of town halls, people’s councils and neighbourhood communities. The province was the last to parade from the Insular Region, before provinces from the Continental Region began to parade.
The Province of Litoral was led by the Governor and delegations from the Government in Bata, Mbini and Kogo, and their respective people’s councils and neighbourhood communities, followed by the Province of Centro Sur, with Government delegations from Evinayong, Niefang and Acurenam, and their local bodies.
The Province of Wele Nzas also paraded with Government delegations from Mongomo, AAisok, Nsork and Aconibe, and local authorities. The Province of Kie-Ntem was the penultimate to parade, led by the Governor and Government delegations from Ebebiyin, Micomiseng and Nsok-Nsomo, with town halls, people’s councils and neighbourhood communities.
The provincial parade concluded with the Province of Djibloho, and authorities representing its local bodies.
