The Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, led the second meeting of the Interministerial Council for 2018, on Tuesday 10th April.
The meeting, which took place in the meeting room at the Ministry for Finance and Budgets, began with a reading and approval of the minutes from the previous meeting. Then Obama Asue spoke, to present the report on the economic measures to be executed during the 2018 economic period.
The Minister for Finance, the Economy and Planning presented a synthesis report on the evaluation of Autonomous Bodies and Public Companies in Equatorial Guinea, and also the Draft Decree to approve the Regulations outlining the Audit Law for Accounts in Equatorial Guinea; a draft project which was presented by the Secretary of State, Charged with the Treasury, Milagrosa Obono Angue.
The Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Salomon Nguema Owono, reported on the Draft Decree to establish regulations for the approval and registration of medicines in Equatorial Guinea. For its part, the Ministry for Agriculture and Forests reported on the Nagoya Protocol on access to Genetic Resources and Fair, Equal Participation in the benefits deriving from the use of their use under to Convention on Biological Diversity.
The Department of Human Rights reported on the Convention for the Prevention and Sanction of the Crime of Genocide; the Elective Protocol on the Convention Against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Punishment or Treatment; the International Convention for the Protection of all Persons against forced disappearance, and the International Convention on the Rights of all Migratory Workers and their Families.
Then, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, reported on the cooperation conventions signed between Equatorial Guinea and Bolivia, such as the joint communique, the Memorandum of Understanding in Matters of Diplomatic Training; Memorandum of Understanding in Matters of Hydrocarbons; Framework Agreement on Cooperation; Agreement on the Removal of Visas, and the Memorandum on Political consultation
Apart from the section on the justification of the current account income for the months of January, February and March, a report was heard on the organisation of the V Summit of Heads of State of Gas Exporting Countries, to be held in Equatorial Guinea.
