On the invitation of the Ministry for the Economy and Finance in South Korea and the KDI (Korean Development Institute), the Secretary of State, Charged with the Horizonte 2020 National Plan, Cesar Augusto Mba Abogo, attended the opening ceremony for the Global Knowledge Exchange Development Centre (GKEDC).
The ceremony was opened by the former Prime Minister of South Korea and the Vice-Minister for Strategy and Finance, and included the participation of representatives from international economic organisations, such as the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, or the Green Climate Fund, and also representatives from various OECD countries.
At the GKECD, South Korea will make available to the global community its experience in the development of the country, from poverty and underdevelopment to being at the forefront of technology in the 21st century. The centre will also serve as a Global Knowledge Hub on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Sustainable Development Goals, and climate change.
