On Thursday 18th May, the Secretary of State from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Domingo Mituy Edjang, received in his office the Minister for Foreign Affairs from Zambia, Amb Chalwe Lombe, who came to ask for advice from the Government of our country regarding the African Union Summit 2022, which Zambia will hold.
The Zambian Minister for Foreign Affairs, following his meeting with the Secretary of State, said that the presence of the delegation from his country in Equatorial Guinea was due to the celebration of the C-10 Summit: We feel satisfied with the work carried out during the summit, and in fact our country was represented by its Head of State to deal with the matter of the African position on the United Nations Security Council. The presence of the Zambian delegation was to support the African position, in order to come to a conclusion on a matter which involves us all”.
He also pointed out that the aim of the audience with the Secretary of State was to ask for advice and support from Equatorial Guinea regarding the celebration of the AU Summit which Zambia will organise in 2022.
We are here to ask for pointers from Equatorial Guinea, because of its experience as a brilliant country at organising huge events; in fact we are asking for support and advice in various areas”, he concluded.
