Thursday 27th September was the fourth day of the work of the African First Ladies gathered in New York. The title of the session was, “First Ladies, creating a legacy”.
The First Ladies Global Alliance, an NGO created within the OPDAS, organised this strategic planning seminar workshop aimed at the African First Ladies and their advisers.
The workshop aimed to increase knowledge regarding the planning of actions and ways to evaluate their action plans, under the banner, “First Ladies, creating a legacy”.
On the fringes of the Seventy-third United Nations General Assembly, the OPDAS called the meeting in New York to look at matters such as the prevention of HIV for mother and child, so that African babies are born free from AIDS and can prosper.
Breast and cervical cancer in Africa were also on the agenda in New York.
The Presidential Adviser in Health matters, Justino Obama Nve, led the Equatoguinean delegation representing the First Lady of the Nation, Constancia Mangue de Obiang.
